Visitation Policy & Guest Rules
Visitation in a resident’s room is allowed only during these hours (strictly enforced; security cameras in use):
- Sunday: 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Friday & Saturday: 7:00 p.m. to midnight.
Violation penalties
- First offense: $25.00 fine. Second: $50.00 fine and no visitation for one month. Third: $100.00 fine and removal from campus housing.
General visitation regulations
- All guests use the front entrance, register, present a current official photo ID, and sign out when leaving; the resident is responsible for a guest’s behavior.
- Fire exits are for emergencies only; guests must be escorted at all times, especially near bathrooms; no loitering in hallways — guests stay in the room or lounge.
- A resident may have only one guest at a time (except family); failure to report violations may result in discipline.
- A resident may ask a roommate to refrain from entertaining guests of a different sex; the decision is set at the start of the semester and is binding for that semester.
- Entering as a guest means agreeing to the visitation policies; a guest who refuses to leave may be evicted by Campus Police and face trespassing charges.
Roommates & Overnight Guests
- Roommate guidance: Residents are encouraged to discuss study/sleep hours, borrowing items, privacy and visitors, food/refrigerator use, cleaning, and conflict resolution.
- Overnight guests: Must be the same sex as the host; the Resident Supervisor must be informed and the roommate’s permission obtained; two consecutive nights maximum.
