As part of the National Junior College Athletic Association golf tournament at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kan., Paris Junior College golfer Dennis Andersen was named to the PING NJCAA All-American First Team, and the PING All-American Freshman Team. The selections were based on play throughout the season. "It was good for PJC to be represented at the national tournament, with the recognition Dennis received by being named to the All-American teams," said PJC Golf Coach David Johnson. "It will definitely help us with recruiting. Dennis had a tough first day, but played well after that, and we're proud of him. "I'm looking forward to next year's team," Johnson added. "There are a lot of returning sophomores with playing experience that hopefully will pay off with a team appearance at next year's national tournament." Andersen, from Randers, Denmark, had already been named Medalist for Region XIV and to the NJCAA All-State Team.
