Educational Talent Search Field Trip

Educational Talent Search (ETS) is an educational outreach program designed to identify qualified youths with potential for education at the postsecondary level and to encourage such youths to complete secondary school and to undertake a program of postsecondary education.

Educational Talent Search is 100 percent federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education; therefore, services are provided at NO COST to the student. General eligibility requirements include meeting income guidelines and/or being the first in the family to graduate with a four year degree. Selected other students are also encouraged to apply.

ETS at Paris Junior College has assisted Northeast Texas students in grades 7-12 since 1991 and is funded to serve 801 students in twenty seven high schools and four junior highs in Lamar, Red River, Fannin, Hunt, Delta, Hopkins, Franklin, and Titus counties.

  • Financial aid assistance (grants, loans, work-study, scholarships)
  • Guidance on secondary school reentry
  • Entry into GED programs
  • Financial and economic literacy
  • Exposure to college campuses
  • Career exploration
  • Testing fee waivers
  • College tours
  • Cultural enrichments

Interested students with the desire and motivation to continue their education beyond high school may download and complete this application and return it to their school counselor or ETS. All information is kept confidential but must be provided for acceptance in the program.
