Black History Month celebrated at Paris Junior College

Members of the Paris Junior College African American Student Union put together a display on Black History Month in the Student Center as part of their celebration. The students will present a program on Feb. 29 at 12:30 p.m. on Black History Month, as well. The Paris Junior College African American Student Union will celebrate Black History Month with a Feb. 29 program in the Student Center ballroom at 12:30 p.m. Featured speaker will be evangelist Tracey Spies, a motivational speaker and wife of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church of Paris Pastor J.W.T. Spies. Spies encourages young people to do the right thing and continue their education. The program also features a reading of the Maya Angelou poem, "Still I Rise," and other entertainment.
