PJC’s The Blend chooses officers, sets fundraiser

Spring semester officers were chosen recently for The Blend student club at Paris Junior College. The Blend (formerly Hispanic club) of Paris Junior College chose officers recently for the spring semester. Elected were President Tony Wallace; Vice President Megan Powell; Treasurer Alexander Thomas; Secretary Ayana Payne; and Nick Zamir, public relations. The student group is also showing 20-minute segments of the documentary "The Human Experience" during the regular 12:30 p.m. meetings on Tuesdays in Student Center, room 205, concluding the week after Spring Break. The movie explores the question "What does it mean to be human?” through travels to New York, Peru and Ghana. The Blend will help Big Brothers Big Sisters with a fundraiser at CiCi’s Pizza on March 20 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Members of The Blend will wait tables and help spread the word about the event.
