Greenville Center Celebrates the Constitution

Paul Sturdevant, left, a history instructor at PJC - Greenville Center, and Brandon Pecina, vice president of Beta Zeta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Greenville Center, look at items relating to Constitution Day recently at the Greenville Center library. The exhibit contained items from Sturdevant’s collection, including a copy of the American Museum magazine for September 1787 containing one of the earliest printings of the U.S. Constitution on record. Other items included a copy of the Laws of the United States printed in 1796; a copy of the Federalist Papers printed in 1826; James Madison’s Notes on the Constitution Convention printed in 1840; and an 1894 copy of the Documentary History of the Constitution.
