Clerk Accounts Receivable

Responsibilities: This position will perform accounts receivable clerical functions, including processing payments and billing functions.
Qualifications: Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. Two years of experience in an accounts receivable role or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting principles, business communications, spelling, punctuation, and mathematics, thorough knowledge of modern office practice and procedures. Ability to prioritize time, multitask and problem solve issues in a timely manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, students, and community members; and to effectively deal with potential public relations problems courteously and tactfully. Demonstrated computer skills and strong customer service skills. Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a customer service-oriented environment. Must be bondable.
Fringe Benefits: This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
