"It's been a successful year athletically with four of our teams achieving national ranking," said PJC Athletic Director Sean LeBeauf. "Along with that, the thing that stands out the most is not so much athletic as academic. This is a testament to our kids and the work that they put into the classroom to be acknowledged with such an achievement.
"The ultimate goal for each student athlete when they step on this campus is to realize that being a student comes first in their time at PJC."
Those being recognized include women's basketball player Morgan Kilgore of Webster, Texas; men's basketball player DeMarcus Richardson of San Antonio, Texas; and volleyball players Veronica Azubuike of Arlington, Texas, Lauren Pyka of Fredericksburg, Texas, Rachel Maslowski of Wylie, Texas, and Katie Thomas of Paris, Texas.
