Responsibilities: This position will manage Business Office activities in such a way as to ensure maximum operational efficiency. Responsible for monthly and annual financial statements.
Qualifications: Applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting; Certified Public Accountant license preferred. Five years work experience in the area of accounting and internal control. Supervisory experience preferred. Working knowledge of college and university accounting, and computer-based financial systems. Knowledge of Texas Statutory Requirements. Preferably experience with Jenzabar. Ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines, communicate effectively and appropriately, interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, identify needs, develop solutions, and present results (i.e. senior leadership), set priorities and meet needs of the organization and achieve needed results, show independent judgment, personal responsibility, and anticipatory thinking skills, demonstrate abilities of accuracy, initiative, and organization. Student focused and a commitment to superior customer service. Professional, positive, and energetic leader able to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with various departments. Excellent problem solving skills in high pressure situations, organizational, communication, and analytical skills, willingness to take initiative, prioritize, and perform proactively.
Salary: The annual salary for this position is $100,000.
Fringe Benefits: This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas or Optional Retirement Program, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
