The Dragon Promise is offered by Paris Junior College to provide free access to higher education for eligible students recently graduating from schools in Lamar or Red River counties. This initiative ensures that students can pursue their education without financial barriers. Paris Junior College is committed to supporting the region's education and workforce development needs.

Students Requirements

Scholarship Application
Complete the Paris Junior College Scholarship Form available at PJC Foundation Scholarship Application.
Eligibility Criteria
Be a recent high school graduate from Lamar or Red River County.
Enrollment Requirements
- Enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours and a maximum of 18 credit hours per semester.
- Follow courses outlined in your specific degree plan.
Academic Standards
Maintain a minimum semester GPA of 2.5.
Behavioral Expectations
Remain in good disciplinary and academic standing at Paris Junior College.
Financial Aid Application
Complete and submit one of the following:
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA)
Student Support Participation
Engage in regular monitoring sessions with the Student Services staff.
