Dragons to face Blinn in post-season tournament

The Paris Junior College Dragons baseball team heads into the Region XIV post-season tournament this weekend with five players named to the 2006 All Conference Region XIV East squad. All Conference honors went to first baseman Michael Hallam, second baseman Craig Corriston, shortstop Pat Robey, outfielder Phil Collins and pitcher Zach Oliver. The Dragons begin tournament play against Blinn College Saturday, May 13, at 10 a.m. The tournament takes place at Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant. East Zone teams taking part in the tournament include Paris Junior College, Navarro College, Texarkana College and Panola College. South Zone teams include Alvin College, San Jacinto College, Blinn College and either Laredo Community College or Delgado Community College. Admission to tournament games is $6 for adults and $4 for children. A tournament pass is available for $30.
