Dragons basketball teams in Region 14 tourney

Paris Junior College's men's and women's basketball teams again will be a part of the Region XIV Basketball Championship Tournament, which got under way Wednesday, March 7, at Tyler Junior College.

The Dragons men's team finished its regular season 15-4 in conference play (23-6 overall), and is seeded No. 1 at the tournament. The Dragons will play their first tournament game at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, against No. 9 Jacksonville College. Jacksonville defeated No. 8 Lee College in the tournament's first game Wednesday, 78-65, in overtime.

The Dragons women's team finished its regular season 13-5 in conference play (24-6 overall), and is seeded No. 3 at the tournament. The Lady Dragons open their tournament appearance Thursday, March 8, against No. 6 Blinn College at 8 p.m.

This year's tournament is held at Wagstaff Gym at Tyler Junior College.
