First fall graduation at PJC
Published or Revised January 03, 2014
Graduates of Paris Junior College and their proud families and friends filled the Hunt Center for the first fall graduation Friday, Dec. 13.
Increased enrollment and space demands led Paris Junior College to hold its first fall graduation on Friday, Dec. 13. The Hunt Center was full of cheering friends and family, as over 100 graduates walked the stage.
Ruger Weston Carstens of Quinlan gave the invocation and then received his associate of science in engineering.
Paris native Ryan A. Box delivered a beautiful performance of “You Raise Me Up” during the ceremony. Box earned his associate of science in drama with a music theater concentration.
Marked by a rainy evening, the event went off smoothly after a week of epic icy weather in Paris. Graduates and their families enjoyed a reception afterwards in the McLemore Student Center ballroom.
Another graduation ceremony will be held in May.
