Four PJC baseball players have fall signing

Four Paris Junior College baseball players recently signed National Letters of Intent to continue their careers at four-year universities in the fall. Dragons signing were Bailey Burks, Nathan Hickey, Garrett Moon, and Chris Muller.
Right handed pitcher Burks, a graduate of Trenton High School, signed with Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Okla., following fellow Dragons Corban Taylor of Paris High School and Rockwall High School's Logan Terwilliger, currently playing for the Savage Storm.
"I am very excited and honored to continue my education and play at Southeastern University," said Burks. "I have learned a lot here, and I can't wait to apply it all at the next level. I'm very thankful for the opportunity I've been given."
2015 All Conference Pitcher Hickey, who graduated from Granbury High School, signed with Tarleton State University in Stephenville. He was selected to the 2015 TxNMJCBCA All Star Team that played at Weatherford College in September.
"I am blessed with the amazing opportunity to continue my education and baseball career at Tarleton State University," said Hickey. "I have learned a lot from Coach Clark and the institution. I am very thankful for the opportunity I was given here at Paris as well."
The University of Texas at San Antonio is the destination of Garrett Moon, who graduated from Rockwall High School, and Chris Muller, who graduated from Dallas Jesuit College Prep High School. Moon was also a member of the All Star team and selected as a 2015 All Conference player.
"I'm excited about the opportunity of not only playing Division 1 baseball but also being able to finish out school at UTSA," said Moon. "I can't wait to see what this year holds. We have a special group here at PJC and expect nothing but the best. I want to thank everyone who made this possible."
"I chose UTSA because they meet my academic requirements, compete in a very good conference, and I formed great relationships with the coaching staff," said Muller.
Moon and Muller will join Dragon alumni Rodney Garza, who played at UTSA and is currently on the Roadrunner staff.
"The Dragon team and coaching staff congratulate these young men on this exciting opportunity," said PJC athletic director and baseball coach Deron Clark. "They have all been productive and integral parts of our team for the past two seasons. Best of luck and GO DRAGONS!"
