Gantt essay will appear in PTK publication

Melissa Gantt, a student at Paris Junior College - Greenville Center, has been selected to be featured in the 2005 edition of "Nota Bene," the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society literary anthology. Gantt's essay, "The Prose and Poetry of Tadeusz Borowski," will be included in the 11th anniversary printing of the publication. "Nota Bene" was first published in 1994 to showcase excellent writing among two-year college students. Gantt has been an active member of the PJC Beta Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during her tenure at the PJC - Greenville Center. She was a part of the Chapter's 2004-2005 membership that won the Society's Five Star Award, the highest possible PTK award for a local chapter. Phi Theta Kappa is the oldest and largest honor society serving two-year and community colleges in all 50 of the United States, plus Canada, Germany and U.S. territorial possessions. Approximately 100,000 students are inducted annually in the Society's 1,200 chapters.
