Greg White presents his one-man show April 6-7

Actor and teacher Greg White will bring to life, "Stewart & Son: A Solo Illumination of Jimmy Stewart," in the inaugural performance of the Spring Guest Artist Series at Paris Junior College. Presented by the PJC Fine Arts Department, this special one-man performance by White, who is the director of music theater and opera at the University of Central Oklahoma, will be presented April 6 and 7. Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. each evening in the Ray Karrer Theater. In White's production of "Stewart & Son," actor Jimmy Stewart, America's favorite son, returns home to Indiana, Penn., in 1969 to revisit the family business, the J.M. Hardware Store, one last time before the building is torn down. Stewart revisits the store and the memory of his father, the man he might have been had he followed his father's vision and stayed home. He also experiences the memory of his own son, whom he had lost. White presents a heartwarming, one-man performance about love and loss, fame and Hollywood, home and legacy. White teaches, produces and directs shows for the acclaimed University of Central Oklahoma program. He also oversees the popular student vocal performances at the UCO Jazz Lab. An alumnus of UCO, Greg holds a BM in music theatre and an MA in creative studies. He has directed numerous productions at UCO and also helped found UCO's popular summer program "Straw Hat Music Theatre Works," where he directed its inaugural production. White has also performed as a featured vocalist throughout the world (more than 40 countries to date) on major cruise lines.
