Published or Revised August 09, 2011

Two players from the 2010-11 Paris Junior College basketball team have signed with four-year universities to continue their playing career. Jeremy Hoard of Russellville, Ark., has signed with Arkansas Tech University and Head Coach Doug Karleskint. The school is also in Russellville. "Jeremy was a great three-point shooter for us all year. He shot 33 percent from behind the arc last year," said PJC Head Basketball Coach Chuck Taylor. "He will be a great asset to Arkansas Tech both on and off the court." Zachary Jones signed to continue his education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., and play for Head Coach Larry Gipson. "Zach had a great sophomore campaign," Taylor said of his play. "He was our emotional leader and he made big plays with big games on the line. "Both young men were instrumental in our 22-9 campaign and trip to the regional semifinals this past year," Coach Taylor added. "I am proud of the both of them and I look forward to following their careers at their prospective schools."
