Paris Junior College Dragons basketball player Seth Kisler, a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., and graduate of Blackhawk Christian School, has signed to continue his playing career at Arkansas State University.
"I've never stopped working to reach my goals," said Kisler. "I'm really excited. This is what I've been working for, and it's finally paying off."
"I'm very proud of Seth," said PJC Head Basketball Coach Chuck Taylor. "He had adversity moving from Indiana to Texas, and now he's getting the opportunity to play for a Division I school. Arkansas State is getting a tremendous young man. You don't often get to play for a coach who's taken a team to the Final Four like Coach John Brady. It's a perfect matchup."
Kisler averaged 7.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per game for the Dragons, who led NJCAA Region XIV with a record of 23-7, 15-4 in conference play, and advanced to the regional tournament as the No. 1 overall seed. The team finished the season ranked No. 22 nationally in NJCAA polls.
