Lady Dragons basketball team ranked 11th nationally

Published or Revised November 21, 2011

On the heels of their first loss to Murray State College (by one point) Tuesday evening, the Paris Junior College women's basketball team learned they were ranked 11th in the nation in the weekly National Junior College Association of America poll. "When I saw the ranking," said PJC women's basketball coach Sean LeBeauf, "elation came over me. But then I thought about the loss. This ranking will push us to be better than we've shown thus far. That is my motivation, that we don't stumble and we don't fall." This is the first time in the memory of any staff at PJC that the women's basketball team has been ranked nationally. The next home game is Nov. 26 at 4 p.m. as the Lady Dragons take on Eastern Oklahoma in Hunt Center.
