Paris Junior College has named Lady Dragons' Basketball Coach Sean LeBeauf as Athletic Director. "Coach Lebeauf stands out as a leader and role model for our young athletes," said Dr. Pam Anglin, PJC president. "As athletic director, these qualities as well as his superior organizational skills will serve PJC well." "I'm blessed to have this opportunity," said Coach LeBeauf. "And I'm going to work very hard to help PJC's athletic program move forward." In his first season leading the Lady Dragons, the team that began the season ranked last ended it ranked fourth in the conference, as well as making it to the semi-finals of the National Junior College Athletic Association's Region XIV tournament for the first time in decades. Prior to his stint at PJC, LeBeauf served as assistant men's basketball coach at Southern University at Baton Rouge, a Division I university. LeBeauf is no stranger to PJC. He served as an assistant to former Head Coach Bill Foy's Dragons men's team during the 2003-2004 season, when the Dragons finished second in the Region XIV Tournament. The next year the Dragons won the 2005 NJCAA national title. LeBeauf left PJC to coach at Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport before moving to his position at Southern University. Prior to entering college coaching, LeBeauf was head basketball coach and a teacher at Archbishop Shaw High School in New Orleans, La., leading the team to back-to-back state title appearances. His team took the state crown in 2000 with a 34-6 record, and was runner-up in 2001 with a 31-5 record.
