Library Gaming Night winners announced.

Published or Revised April 17, 2012

Gaming Nights sponsored by the PJC library continue to be popular events on campus, with 35 PJC students taking part in the latest contest, held Thursday, April 12. "This is the final tournament of the semester with a high attendance of 60 this past fall and attendance averaging in the upper 30's at every event," said Alexia Riggs, PJC's technical services librarian. The Halo Reach tournament was dominated by "Team Horology," which included students Forrest Meharg, Brandon Marrietta, Nik Libby, and Seth Grimes. To advance, each team of four had to win two rounds out of three. The Just Dance tournament winner, after a grueling competition, was Cameron David. Songs in the competition included "Barbie Girl," "Firework" and "Kung Fu Fighting." Gaming Nights are held periodically each semester, and include free drinks and snacks. The events are held to attract students and familiarize them with the library as a resource.
