Mr. & Miss PJC nominees have been announced

Paris Junior College has announced the slate of candidates for the annual Mr. and Miss PJC competition. Nominated by faculty and staff, candidates are voted on by PJC students. The crowning will take place at half-time of the 7:30 p.m. men's basketball game against Trinity Valley Community College on Wednesday, Feb. 29, in the Hunt Center. To qualify, they must be a full-time student carrying a minimum of 12 semester hours, have an overall GPA of 2.75, be a sophomore and not be on disciplinary or scholastic probation. Nominees include Garrett Killgore of Frisco, Texas; Jacob Allen of Greenville, Texas; Demarcus Richardson of San Antonio, Texas; J.D. Allison of Beach City, Texas; Lauren Pyka of Fredericksburg, Texas; Morgan Kilgore of Webster, Texas; Christina Gunlock of Bonham, Texas; and Stephanie Goudy of Burleson, Texas. "The best qualities of PJC students are represented here," said PJC Director of Student Life Kenneth Webb. "PJC is pleased to provide a showcase for these students so deserving of recognition." The crowning highlights a busy evening as both the Lady Dragons and Dragons basketball teams will recognize their sophomores before their respective games.
