Mr. & Miss PJC for 2012 Crowned Wednesday

Paris Junior College sophomores DeMarcus Richardson of San Antonio, Texas, and Morgan Kilgore of Webster, Texas, were crowned Wednesday evening Mr. & Miss PJC 2012. The two are both PJC basketball players and were nominated by PJC faculty and professional staff, then selected by student voting.
Sophomores DeMarcus Richardson of San Antonio, Texas, a Dragons' basketball player, and Morgan Kilgore, a Lady Dragons basketball player from Webster, Texas, were chosen as Mr. & Miss Paris Junior College Wednesday during halftime of the men's basketball game against Trinity Valley Community College.
Kilgore is a 2010 graduate of Clear Springs High School in Houston, Texas, where she was First Team All-District. After PJC, she plans to transfer to a four-year university and pursue her degree in computer programming.
Richardson is a 2009 graduate of San Antonio Converse Judson High School, and attended the U.S. Naval Academy from 2009-11. After PJC he plans to continue his education at a four-university and pursue a career as a basketball coach.
PJC faculty and professional staff nominate candidates, who must be full-time, graduating sophomores with an overall GPA of 2.5. Selection is by student voting. PJC Athletic Director Sean LeBeauf and PJC Student Activities Coordinator Tracy Scott did the crowning. Other nominees were Lauren Pyka of Fredericksburg, Texas, Christina Gunlock of Bonham, Texas, Stephanie Goudy of Burleson, Texas, Garrett Killgore of Frisco, Texas, J.D. Allison of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Jacob Allen of Golden, Texas.
