Mr. and Miss PJC 2019 announced

Paris Junior College sophomores Cannon Davis and Katie Cullum were named Mr. & Miss PJC 2019 on Wednesday, Feb. 20 during halftime of the men’s basketball game in the Hunt Center. Faculty and staff nominate students for this honor. The students must be graduating sophomores taking a minimum of 12 semester hours with at least a 2.75 GPA. Cullum is a 2017 graduate of Hudson High School, a member of the softball team and Phi Theta Kappa, the two-year college honor society, and the daughter of Dessie Cullum of Lufkin. Davis is a 2017 graduate of College Station High School, a member of the baseball team and Phi Theta Kappa, and the son of Trae and Bohnnie Davis of College Station. Other nominees for Mr. & Miss PJC included: Giselle Benitez is a 2017 graduate of Prairiland High School, a member and past president of Delta Psi Omega, the two-year college drama honor society, and the daughter of Janett Kourakos of Paris. Raden Phillips is a 2017 graduate of Paris High School, a member and past vice president of Delta Psi Omega, and the son of Eric and Reba Schillinger of Paris. Maddie Ellsworth, a 2016 homeschool graduate, is a Phi Theta Kappa member and the daughter of Bert and Rachel Ellsworth of Clarksville. John Altman, a 2017 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School, is a member of the baseball team and Phi Theta Kappa, and the son of Ed and Lisa Altman of College Station. Alivia McCuan is a 2017 graduate of Kingston High School, a member of the softball team and Phi Theta Kappa, and the daughter of James and Tasha McCuan of Kingston, Okla. Brett Bell is a 2017 graduate of North Lamar High School, a member and past historian of Delta Psi Omega, and the son of Carolyn Bell of Brookston. Allyson Tesky is a homeschool graduate, member of Phi Theta Kappa, and the daughter of Diana Tesky of Merit. Oluwajuyinl (Joseph) Lukula is a 2017 graduate of Timberview High School, a member, past Vice President of Fellowship, and current Vice President of Scholarship for Phi Theta Kappa, and the son of Bunmi Lukula of Arlington.
