PJC library sets events for National Library Week
Published or Revised March 29, 2012
A Patron Appreciation Day and a gaming tournament will be part of the PJC library's celebration of National Library Week, April 8-14.
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries — school, public, academic and special — participate.
The PJC library's theme this year is: Looking At The Past And Present At PJC. A special display inside the library will feature the many technological changes that have taken place.
Patron Appreciation Day will be Wednesday, April 11.
The gaming tournament will take place at the library Thursday, April 12, from 10 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. A warm-up period will begin at 9:30 p.m.
The tournament will feature "Halo Reach" and "Just Dance Summer Edition," as well as other games. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Student ID will be required.
