Nurse Aide

Preparation for entry level nursing assistants to achieve a level of knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities. Topics include resident’s rights, communication, safety, observation, reporting and assisting residents in maintaining basic comfort and safety. Emphasis on effective interaction with members of the health care team.
Applicant must have a valid state-issued photo ID, and social security card. The names on both of these items must match. Applicant will also be required to fill out a background release form upon applying to be considered for this class. The Nurse Aide certification test is not included in the price of the course and must be scheduled by the student through NACES.
Paris Junior College - Paris campus is an official testing site for certification testing. (NURA 1001 - Nurse Aide for Health Care)
Course Fee: $900 (100 Hours) [Note: Price does not include state test fee.]
NOTE: This course has a classroom and a clinical portion, which is broken out for each course.
