Bring your expertise to PJC’s adjunct job fairs

Published or Revised October 22, 2013

Do you have expertise in a particular technical field or your master’s degree in an academic field? Would you like to give back to the community and pass your knowledge on to the next generation? Help students who are our future! Paris Junior College is looking for adjunct (part-time) instructors at multiple sites and high schools in our area. “We know there are many people throughout PJC’s service area that have a lot to offer our students,” said PJC Vice President of Instruction Dr. Barbara Buchanan. “And these same people can make a real difference for our students. They can help us grow to meet our increased demand.” PJC will facilitate the process by holding three job fairs for adjunct instructors, all from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The first is in Paris on Monday, Oct. 28 in the Math & Science Building at 2400 Clarksville Street. The second will be in Sulphur Springs on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The third will be on Wednesday, Oct. 30 in Greenville. Workforce, technical and academic transfer instructors are needed. Class schedules are flexible as PJC serves the needs of a diverse student population. Adjunct instructors play a vital role in providing that flexibility. Those interested in learning more about adjunct opportunities, along with the required credentials and teaching expectations, will be able to meet with PJC deans from academic, workforce and technical divisions of the college. “Please stop by and visit us at the job fair,” said Dr. Buchanan. Interested applicants should bring a resume and a copy of their college transcripts. Employment applications will be available for those wanting to apply, or an application may be downloaded at /employment for completion prior to the event. If you need more information prior to the event, please contact the PJC Human Resources Department at humanresources@parisjc.edu or 903-782-0483.
