Busy week capped by PJC Commencement, DSA Award

This final of the spring semester at Paris Junior College is capped by Commencement and the announcement of the student winning the Distinguished Service Award on Friday, May 12. Several other events are happening as well.
The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor a PJC student may receive, signifying not only academic strengths but service to the community as well. The five outstanding sophomore nominees are Mengkheang (Sam) Chek of Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Heather Collins of Paris; Michael Gunter of Navarre, Fla.; Thomas Jeffries of Flower Mound; and Raven Maxwell of Cooper.
Tuesday, May 9, is the GED Graduation at 7 p.m. in the Ray E. Karrer Theater. Thursday, May 10, has several events starting with the Jewelry Awards Ceremony in the Ray Karrer Theater at 10 a.m. Also in the Theater will be awards and pinning ceremonies for Associate Degree Nursing at 5 p.m. and for Vocational Nursing at 7 p.m.
