PJC conceal carry policy draft available for comments

UPDATE: The link below now leads to the conceal-carry policy finalized in July 2017. After conducting three town halls in Paris, Greenville and Sulphur Springs in May, the Paris Junior College Campus Carry Committee drafted a policy that is now available at /downloads/dps_downloads/conceal-carry.pdf. Since the 2015 Texas Legislature passed a law requiring all community colleges to develop a policy allowing for "reasonable restrictions" on locations where guns may be carried on college campuses, the focus of the meetings was to gain input on where that might be. The committee took the comments received and finalized the draft policy for review, prior to final approval by the PJC Board of Regents. Comments on this draft policy for concealed carry of handguns on campus can be made by sending an email to campuscarry@parisjc.edu. Please provide comments by Monday, June 19, 2017.
