PJC holding auditions for “The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe”

A high level of interest has already been seen in the planned April production of "The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe," at Paris Junior College. Auditions are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday evenings, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., in the Ray E. Karrer Theater in the Administration Building.
"We are seeking actors of all ages and experience levels for the PJC Drama Production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," said PJC drama instructor and play director Robyn Huizinga.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, and the rehearsal schedule will allow flexibility. Performances are April 3-5 in the morning for area schools and April 6-9 evenings/matinees for public performances. Fight choreography is scheduled to take place in February.
"We are looking for actors with strong English dialects for the roles of young and adult Susan, Peter, Edmund, Lucy, Jadis (The White Witch), Mr. Tumnus, and The Professor," Huizinga said.
Roles include: Lucy (a young girl of 8-10); Edmund (a young boy of 10-12); Susan (14-16); Peter (17-18); Tumnus, a faun; Jadis, The White Witch; the Seven Dwarfs, servants of the White Witch; Aslan, a lion; Mr. Beaver; Mrs. Beaver; Maugrim, a wolf; The Professor; Queen Lucy; Queen Susan; King Edmund; King Peter; Father Christmas, a warrior saint; Animals and Creatures of Narnia (speaking and non-speaking roles, fighters in The Great Battle); Mrs. MacReady, a non-speaking role; and The White Stag, a dance role.
