PJC honors retirees with reception

Retiring PJC employees were honored at a recent reception and received recognition plaques from Vice President of Workforce Education John Spradling and Vice President of Academic Instruction Ed McCraw. Seven faculty and staff of Paris Junior College were honored at a reception in the PJC Student Center ballroom on May 5. Each retiree present received a plaque from either Vice President of Academic Instruction Ed McCraw or Vice President of Workforce Education John Spradling.
Office Technology Instructor Anita Ferguson is retiring a few months short of her 44th anniversary; she came to PJC in September 1971.
Cosmetology Instructor Essie Moore was at PJC for 20 years, starting at PJC in September 1994.
Doris Helm has been at PJC for 20 years, seven of them as Nursing Instructor and 13 years as Psychology Instructor.
Sharon Dennehy has been an instructor of both Journalism and English and advisor for the student newspaper, “The Bat,” for 17 years.
Judy Frazier, secretary at Health Occupations, has been at PJC for 15 years. She began working at the college in June 2000.
Allen Williams has been a History Instructor for 13 years at PJC; he has a total of 30 years in education.
Peggy Frierson has been Testing Center clerk since the beginning of the Testing Center ten years ago.
A well-attended reception with cake and punch followed as friends, family, and co-workers visited together.
