PJC IT Checklist

Welcome to Paris Junior College! This checklist will guide you through essential steps to get connected to PJC services and resources. Please make sure to follow each step carefully to ensure you are fully prepared for success.

Step 1 is crucial! Your PJC Student ID is needed to access many services, including the portal, Blackboard, and DragonMail. You can look up your student ID using the embedded tool below.

Find Your PJC Student ID

Use the embedded Student ID Lookup tool below to find your PJC Student ID. Be sure to click inside the dropdown under "Click inside the dropdown below to retrieve your student ID."

Set Up Your DragonMail Account

All PJC students are automatically assigned a DragonMail email account for official communications. You will need your Student ID to log in. If you don't know your Student ID, refer to Step 1 to find it.

Email Format: First initial + last name + last 4 digits of your Student ID.
Example: Barbara Jones with ID "123456" → Bjones3456@dragons.parisjc.edu

Password: 8 digits of your birthdate (MMDDYYYY).
Example: Born March 6, 1995 → 03061995

Access Microsoft Student Advantage

As a PJC student, you have free access to Microsoft Office products through the Microsoft Student Advantage Program. Download Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more to support your studies.

Log Into Blackboard

Once you have your Student ID, you can log into Blackboard to access your courses. Remember, courses will only appear on Blackboard the day the class begins.

Blackboard Username: Your Student ID number, without dashes.
Example: If your ID is 9870-04321, your Blackboard username would be 987004321.

Blackboard Password: Your birthdate in MMDDYYYY format.

Download the Respondus LockDown Browser

For certain online exams, you may be required to use the Respondus LockDown Browser. Make sure to download and install it if your course requires it.
