PJC holding softball camps July 19 & 20

In another sign of returning normality, Paris Junior College is holding two softball camps on July 19 and July 20. The camps will be conducted by Head Softball Coach Shelby Shelton, Assistant Softball Coach Kylie Shay and Volunteer Assistant Coach Jack Butler. 

“This is a great opportunity to come learn and be seen by our coaching staff at PJC,” said Shelton. “We will cover both defense (including pitching) and hitting. It will be similar to a lot of the drills we do with our college team throughout the year. We are excited to work with our campers and allow them to get an inside glimpse of our program!”

The July 19 camp is for incoming ninth graders to graduating high school seniors, and the July 20 camp is for incoming sixth through eighth graders. Each camp has 40 available spots and will run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Softball Field 4, Love Civic Center Park, 2005 S. Collegiate St. in Paris.

Campers will submit liability waiver forms and payment of $50 (cash or check only) prior to the camp’s start. To register, email the camper’s name, grade and position played to kshay@parisjc.edu.
