PJC Veteran’s Day Ceremony Nov. 11

A special observance of Veteran’s Day will be held Monday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m. in the DeShong Chapel on the Paris Junior College campus. The carillon’s bell will chime as the names of PJC students lost in combat during World War II, Korea and Vietnam are read aloud by PJC adjunct history instructor Ken Hanushek. Allen Williams, organizer of the memorial and PJC history instructor, said the public to invited to attend the open ceremony. An ensemble from the PJC Chorale will perform “Land of the Free.” Following the remembrance ceremony, PJC students who are military veterans will lay wreaths at the memorial. A PJC student will also be the bugler at the ceremony, performing “Taps.”
