Phi Theta Kappa chapter inducts new members

The Paris Junior College Beta Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa held induction ceremonies Sunday in the Rheudasil Learning Center for students who became members during the spring semester. Chapter sponsors David Larkin, Marsha Dennis, Allen Williams, Joe Jackson and Daisy Harvill explained the history, various symbols and activities of Phi Theta Kappa and Beta Zeta. Kebra Monk, District III Vice President of Alpha Omicron at Tyler Junior College, gave opening remarks. Krista Goerte, managing editor of [i]The Paris News[/i], was the keynote speaker. She told attendees of her time at Paris Junior College and how important Phi Theta Kappa was in helping her fit in, meet people, and develop leadership skills. Darrell Donald, Beta Zeta vice president, inducted the new members.
