The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Paris Junior College Greenville Center raised $4,100 at its Relay for Life Picnic Tuesday. The picnic, featuring food, face painting, dunking the professor booth, games, and prizes, attracted a big crowd to the Greenville Center. Ralph Sanders, principal of L.P. Waters Elementary School and instructor of math at the Greenville Center, raised the most money in the dunking booth, and for his efforts got a pie in the face. "This will be a fun event that raises funds for Greenville Relay for Life event that benefits the American Cancer Society," said Nicole Baucom, instructor and advisor for the PJC Beta Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. "We will have a group of students walking in the Relay for Life event on June 10. The money raised at this picnic will add to our contribution."
