Regents choose architectural firm to guide growth
Published or Revised September 27, 2005
The Paris Junior College Board of Regents Monday night selected an architectural firm to begin drawing proposals for future growth at the college. The Regents selected SHW Group of Dallas to provide architectural services to the college and develop campus master plans for Paris, Greenville and Sulphur Springs, and design new facilities. SHW Group is an architecture, planning, interior design and structural engineering firm that specializes and works exclusively in the educational field. The firm will begin working on plans and designs that will include new residence halls in Paris and new classroom facilities in Sulphur Springs and Greenville. In other business, the Board of Regents approved a seven-year tax abatement for Kimberly Clark on a $10 million improvement to the existing plant. Regents also approved the employment of Emily Wilson as an advisor for the Upward Bound program, effective Oct. 3.
