SGA Seeking Officer Nominations

The Student Government Association at Paris Junior College is seeking nominations for officers. The deadline to self-nominate is Wednesday, Sept. 25. To serve as an SGA officer, students must have completed 24 semester hours, with at least one semester at PJC, and must be in good standing. A GPA of 2.75 must be maintained, as well as a minimum of 12 semester hours. Officer roles that must be filled from the Paris campus include President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Publicity Director. Three Vice Presidents will be elected from Paris, Greenville and Sulphur Springs. There will also be sophomore and freshman representatives. To serve in these roles, a GPA of 2.5 is required. SGA exists to encourage students to be more involved in college life, solve problems and make policy decisions for all PJC student organizations on campus. The group also promotes communication between students, faculty, staff and administration, as well as allowing student to continue developing school ideas and traditions.
