“Skin of our Teeth” to debut in February

The Paris Junior College Drama Department is preparing to bring the Thornton Wilder production, [i]The Skin of our Teeth[/i], to the Ray Karrer Theater stage at Paris Junior College this spring. The play will be presented Feb. 16-17 and 23-24 at 7:30 p.m., followed by a matinee performance on Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $5. Admission is free with student ID. Wilder's words, "living is struggle,' resonate at the end of the century as well as they did earlier in it. With [i]The Skin of Our Teeth[/i], Wilder masterfully looks ahead to the future of the human race while at the same time compounding its entire history into three acts. The epic heroes found in the seemingly average Antrobus family know all about rebuilding and continuing life in the face of adversity. They are proof of the age-old words that could easily be turned into a slogan for the 21st century: Living is struggle. The cast for the play includes Tia Ballard as Sabina, Kayla Coleman as Mrs. Antrobus, Clay Rosprim as singing telegram/bingo caller, Cate Jones as fortune teller, Jason Thomas as Mr. Antrobus, Danyelle Lambert as Gladys, Christ Culver as Henry and Josh Maxwell as Baby Dino/Fitzpatrick. The play crew includes Elizabeth Dahlin in charge of properties, T.J.
