Spring enrollment at Paris Junior College again saw registration records falling as student numbers increased more than 12 percent from one year ago. The total number of students enrolled is 4,639, and total contact hours for the semester are 1,031,453. "Paris Junior College continues to provide reasonably priced quality education to our service area," said PJC President Dr. Pamela Anglin. "These numbers show that people recognize that fact. In these troubled economic times, PJC provides a vital service to our community. "In addition to giving university-bound students a way to take their first two years of standard courses at a reasonable cost," Dr. Anglin continued, "we have high-demand professional programs such as nursing and welding. And our jewelry institute gets nationwide employment requests from businesses wanting to hire our graduates."
