Published or Revised April 26, 2011

This Thursday and Friday evening, Paris Junior College music and drama students will come together to present “A Showcase of Scenes and Music from the Theatre” at 7 p.m. in the Ray Karrer Theatre. “This will be a lot of fun for the audience,” said PJC drama instructor William Walker. “Our students have worked hard and are looking forward to presenting a broad sampling of music and dramatic scenes from the stage.” A total of 21 music and drama students are in the showcase, which opens with the full company presenting “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” a tap number from "Annie Get Your Gun." The full company will also present “One Day More” from "Les Miserables." Other of the more than 20 selections come from productions ranging from "Fiddler on the Roof" and "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" to "Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf" and "The Music Man." The show is open to the public, and admission is free. There will be adult content. The theatre is located in the north end of the Administration Building on the northwest corner of the Paris campus.
