PJC’s Taylor named NJCAA Third Team All-American

Published or Revised April 11, 2012

The National Junior College Athletic Association just announced that Paris Junior College basketball player T.J. Taylor, of Denison, Texas, has been named to the Division I All-American Third Team. Taylor has signed to continue playing for Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. "Another blessing, once again," Taylor said when told the news. "I'll have to step it up a few notches if I want to be first team. The bar is set high from here on out. It's a good omen." "It's another tremendous honor for him," said PJC Head Basketball Coach Chuck Taylor. "I think any time you're considered among the top 30 players in the country at your level, it's a major accomplishment. I'm very proud of him, and it couldn't happen to a more deserving individual. We're all proud of him in the Paris Junior College community." Taylor received NJCAA Region XIV Player of the Week nods twice earlier in the year, and was named First Team All-Conference and All-Region.
