"We're excited for Yasmeen and the next step on her journey," said PJC Athletic Director and Women's Basketball Coach Sean LeBeauf. "We appreciate the effort from the University of Houston, and they've been rewarded with a talented player. Along with that, she is one of the most mature kids I've coached on either the men's or the women's side. She has a chance to be special."
"I liked the University of Houston all around, got a great feel from the visit, the academics, and connection with the basketball coaches," Thompson said. "My time at PJC was great. Being around such great people, I learned a lot, and Coach Sean is a great coach on and off the court."
