A big day for the Paris Junior College baseball program was had with the recent signing of Trevor Cheaney with Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind, and Kal Kilgo with Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
“This was a big day for our program with two of our weekend arms signing with teams in top quality conferences,” said PJC Baseball Coach Clay Cox. “We look for both of these young men to be in our rotation this coming spring. Kal has been a workhorse for this program the last two years and earned big innings as a freshman. Trevor has proved himself this fall after transferring in for his sophomore year. We are extremely proud of these young men and what they have accomplished both on and off the field.
“I’m extremely grateful to be here at Paris Junior College,” said Kilgo, “surrounded daily by guys who know what it takes to win, and who are willing to go the extra mile to win. I’m looking forward to the moment when all our hard work pays off and we can look at each other as champions and have a life long brotherhood.”
“I feel extremely blessed for the opportunity to represent this school, coaching staff, and all the players here, and of course my family,” said Cheaney. “I couldn’t have done it without them. Now that that’s out of the way, I’m ready to get after it this spring with my boys.”
