Two promoted from PJC — Greenville Center

Two personnel changes are slated for Paris Junior College – Greenville Center leadership. Center Director John Spradling has been promoted to vice president of Workforce Education. Scott Edwards will be the new director of PJC – Greenville Center. "I have tremendous experience in many areas of higher education to put to work for Paris Junior College – Greenville Center," said Edwards. "My family has lived and been active in the Greenville community for nearly a decade, and I take great pride in making this center the best it can be to serve the people of Hunt County." "Scott's experience at various colleges, his time working at the PJC Greenville campus, and his knowledge of the students attending the Greenville campus will serve him and the college well as he steps into this administrative position," said Dr. Pamela Anglin, PJC president." Edwards has project, staff management and student services experience. He has served as an advisor both at the community college and university level. He has done career planning, academic advisement and registration assistance, aided families with applying for financial aid, and recruited prospective students. Edwards has been an academic/financial aid advisor for Paris Junior College since 2004. Prior to that he was Teaching Scholars Project coordinator at Texas A&M University — Commerce, an academic advisor at Eastfield College in Mesquite, a McNair Scholars Program coordinator and admission advisor for West Texas A&M University in Canyon, and a corporate trainer for the private sector. He has also served as adjunct faculty for PJC and West Texas A&M. Edwards has a master of arts in interdisciplinary studies and a bachelor of science in education from West Texas A&M University. In the Greenville community, Edwards is a Leadership Hunt County graduate, a member of Family Fellowship Church, and a Career Launch presenter for the Greenville Independent School District. At PJC he has also served as a member of the Achieving the Dream data team and an advising committee designed to help more students succeed in reaching their education goals.
