Vocational Nursing graduates pinned May 12

Paris Junior College's Health Occupations Department held pinning ceremonies and handed out awards to vocational nursing graduates at ceremonies held Thursday, May 12, at First Baptist Church in Paris. The Hopkins-Nicholas Award for outstanding performance in both classroom and clinical training went to William Ruth of Greenville, Texas. He also had the highest grade point average. Kenneth Hayes of Sulphur Springs was given the Metamorphosis Award for exhibiting the most growth through the entire vocational nursing program. Gail Behan of Sulphur Springs received the TNSA (Texas Nursing Students Association) appreciation award for outstanding participation. Behan, Hayes, Sandra Baughn, Karla Medrano, Beverly Relford, Lauren West, Courtney Marsh, Lindsey Terrell, Britney Bowen, Danyel Hoecherl and Sarah Williamson all had perfect attendance. This signifies that throughout the entire program these students had no absences or tardiness for class, clinicals or any scheduled nursing appointments.
