Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning of college facilities and buildings.  Facilities cleaned include offices, common areas, restrooms, game rooms, the fitness center and classrooms.  Duties performed include sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.

Qualifications: Entry level position experience. Current Texas driver's license and insurable with the College's insurance carrier. Knowledge of the proper lifting techniques with the ability to apply these techniques. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and/or directions maintain physical activity over prolonged periods of time, make effective use of time, deal in a fair and courteous manner with a variety of individuals, regularly perform assigned responsibilities according to established practices and procedures, demonstrate competence and interest to the general public, citizens, and/or customer departments, present one’s self and the college in a positive, professional manner, complete work assignments in an orderly and timely manner, demonstrate safe work habits and safe use of equipment and/or chemicals, work around chemicals, dust, noise and constant interruptions, identify, report, and call for assistance in potentially dangerous situations, work with and help other employees, actively listen and demonstrate understanding, accept supervision, assignments, change, and correction, review work and set-up requests, maintain an acceptable work place, skill in janitorial maintenance of facilities using standard equipment, utilize hands, arms, feet, and legs simultaneously, stand, stoop, crawl, and kneel, perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques and standards with minimal supervision within the assigned time frame, operate a two-way radio.

Salary:  The minimum hourly salary for this position is $14.00 - $17.07 and the actual starting salary will be dependent upon experience of the chosen candidate.

Fringe Benefits: This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
