Responsibilities: This position will provide quality counseling to persons owning or operating a small business and to persons wishing to start a new business.

Qualifications: Applicant must have Minimum of Bachelor's degree and either the core courses completed of an MBA or advance certification in area of expertise, e.g., CPA.  Five years of relevant business experience.  General knowledge of operating a small business including writing business plans, marketing plans, record keeping requirements, financing options, licensing and permit requirements.  Conduct cash flow feasibility analysis to help improve financial position, forecasting, and raising working capital.  Assist clients in diversification of revenue streams, products/services, costing, and financial visibility, operation management and marketing issues.  Advise clients on appropriate technical and governmental resources that can promote their success.  Produce and manage data as required by the center, i.e. Neoserra.  Conduct research in a variety of market research databases.  Analytical skills.  Ability to work independently.  Interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of clients.  Excellent communication skills, oral and written.  Work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 - $58,000.

Fringe Benefits:  This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee.  Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability.  Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program.  Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
